PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico University basketball team was unable to get its buzzer-beating shot to fall as the Greyhounds came up just short against 15^th-ranked Fort Lewis, 88-87. The 'Hounds fall to 1-1 on the year after the heartbreaking setback.
 
Marquise Harris scored a game-high 29 points, going 11-of-17 from the field and 4-for-8 from beyond the arc. Neal added 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting and also added five rebounds and six assists. Shawn Shelton recorded a double-double for the 'Hounds with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Eastern dominated in the paint with Chris Lewis, Shelton, Andre Hughes and Arcaim Lallemand, helping the Green and Silver to a 40-28 mismatch in the lane.
