PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team blasted the University of Texas at Permian Basin, 3-1 (25-14, 25-16, 25-17) on Friday evening in Odessa, Texas. The win sends the Greyhounds to 8-7 on the year and 3-2 in league play following the team's third-straight win.

Three Greyhound players finished with double-digit kills while four finished with 10+ digs in the sweep.
Lauren Frye and
Brooklyn Biel paced the offense with a dozen kills and
Courtney Lawson notched a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. The trio also hit .500, .417 and .391, respectively as they combined for 34 of the 43 kills for Eastern.
Kaitlyn Kluna (18) and
Alexis Aguirre (15) dished out 33 assists for an offense that hit .308 as a unit.
Andrea Aguilar dug out 14 attacks by the Falcons to lead the defensive charge.

Eastern started strong in the match, winning the first set 25-14. The Green and Silver hit a blistering .522 as a team with only two attack errors. Lawson got going early and often, earning five kills and hitting .714 in the opening set.

The Greyhounds were slowed down a hair in the second set, falling behind 10-9, but a 16-6 run by Eastern to close the set gave ENMU a 2-0 lead in the match. Aguilar bolstered the defensive effort in the second with eight of her 14 digs as the Greyhounds held the Falcons to a .022 attack percentage.

ENMU coasted to the finish in the final set to earn its second sweep of the season. Frye went 6-for-10 with no errors in the third while
Talaitupu Faumui notched a pair of blocks to give the Greyhounds the win.
