PORTALES, NM — Facing a double-digit deficit to the defending Lone Star Conference champions, the Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball team (3-4; LSC 0-1) used an 18-8 run capped by nine straight points from
Devin Pullum to tie the game at 57-all. University of Texas Permian Basin (6-1; LSC 1-0) eventually pulled away for an 84-74 victory as the teams opened conference action on Thursday at Greyhound Arena. The contest was sponsored by U.S. Bank.

- Lamarquis Thompson scored the game's first four points as ENMU cruised to a 7-2 advantage
