ATLANTA, Ga. – The Eastern New Mexico University baseball team wrapped up play in Atlanta this afternoon, earning a double-header sweep over Tuskegee, 7-3 and 13-1. The 9-1 start for the Greyhounds is the best start since the 2013 team opened the season 12-1.

In the first game,
Enrique Perez tossed a complete game on the mound to earn the win, scattering seven hits for three runs with four walks and six strikeouts. The right-hander improved to 2-0 with the win. Offensively, Michael McNicholl pounded out three hits and three RBI while
Andrew Stubbs went 2-for-3 at the dish with three RBI as well. The duo launched back-to-back long balls in the bottom of the first, staking Eastern a 3-1 lead.

In game two, the Greyhounds pounded out 12 runs in the first three innings to complete the sweep of the Tigers.
Nick DeArmond yielded one run on two hits with four punchouts over the first four innings.
Victor Persad tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win before
Aidin Hernandez closed out the game with a scoreless seventh. McNicholl drove home another four runs on three hits on the afternoon, moving his season average to a blistering .545
