PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team treks to Silver City, N.M., on Tuesday to take on Western New Mexico to start Lone Star Conference play. The Greyhounds (2-6) look to start off LSC action on a high note, taking on the Mustangs (0-8).

Last weekend, the Green and Silver went 2-2 in four, five-set affairs with Colorado Mesa, Colorado Christian, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Lubbock Christian. In three of the four matches, ENMU raced out to a 2-0 lead.

Andrea Aguilar enters the matchup after picking up her 1,400
th-dig this past weekend at the Lady Chap Classic. The reigning LSC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year has gone above 500 digs in each of the last two season and needs 445 to match Caitlin Murphy's all-time mark of 1,930.

Brooklyn Biel has been a catalyst for the Greyhounds over the past three seasons. The Laveen, Ariz., native needs nine kills on Tuesday to eclipse 100 for the season and is hitting at a .228 clip. Â A force to be reckoned with in the middle, Biel has stuffed 237 shots during her time with the Green and Silver and needs 48 to crack the top 10 list in program history after rejecting 22 attempts on the year.

Alexis Aguirre recorded her 2,000
th assist in the Greyhounds win over Colorado Christian on Friday, becoming just the seventh player in program history to eclipse 2,000. A multi-sport athlete, Aguirre claimed a 20
th-place finish in the javelin at the NCAA DII Track and Field Championships. Aguirre is coming of a 109 assist outburst at the Lady Chap Classic.

Sarah Tuioti-Mariner and freshman
Jasmine Gannon have made significant contributions this season. Tuioti-Mariner is second on the team with 90 kills and is coming off a 21-kill performance against Lubbock Christian, earning All-Tournament accolades while Gannon had three matches with at least 10 kills last weekend.
