LAWTON, OKLA. — With the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (8-6; LSC 4-3) facing a 53-52 deficit and just 2:35 left in the game,
Dasia Johnson hit a layup to give ENMU the lead for good. The Greyhounds scored the final five points of the game to close out a 57-53 Lone Star Conference win over Cameron (5-10; LSC 3-4), Thursday at Aggie Gym.
Inside the Series
- The win moved ENMU to 23-14 against Cameron with an 8-10 mark on the road
- The Hounds have won four straight against the Aggies for the first time since a stretch from 2003-06
- The victory also marked Eastern's longest road-win streak in the series, at three games

- Daeshi McCants' double double was her ninth tying her for second (with Tiana Bryant and Til-Louis Fifer) on the ENMU list. The ENMU double double list stretches from the 2000-01 season through tonight's game.
- Brandi Gomez registered a steal with six seconds left and the Hounds leading by a 57-56 score
- She performed a similar feat less than a month ago, with 18 seconds left and a 48-45 lead at St. Mary's

- Trailing 2-0, a trey from Amari Joseph sparked a 19-6 Greyhound run for a 19-8 lead
- That run was fueled by nine points from Mikaehla Connor
- After an exchange of baskets for the balance of the game, ENMU held a 44-34 lead, midway through the third quarter
- A Briana Underwood layup sparked a 14-3 Cameron run over the next 10:43 of play
- The Aggies took their first lead (48-47) since early in the game on free throws from Lejha Smith with 5:49 to play
- There would be four lead changes and two tie scores the rest of the way, until the Hounds took the lead for good on Johnson's fastbreak
- The game marked the fourth time in the last five contests ENMU limited the opposition to .268 or lower from the field

- ENMU enjoyed a 53-44 rebounding advantage
