Connor Pours in 19 Points in Setback at Midwestern State

WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS — A strong defensive showing allowed the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (8-7; LSC 4-4) to trim a 19-point deficit to just eight points. Midwestern State (9-5; LSC 6-2) managed to hang on for a 73-57 win over the Greyhounds in Lone Star Conference action, Saturday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Mikaehla Connor paced ENMU with a 19-point, seven-rebound effort

  • The loss dropped the Hounds to 18-28 against Midwestern State with a 7-16 road record
  • The loss also snapped Eastern's three-game win streak in the series
 
In the Numbers
  • After allowing the Mustangs to shoot five-for-six from three-point range in the opening half, the Hounds did not allow any three-point buckets in the second half
  • Trailing 53-39 late in the third quarter, Kaylee Edgemon's trey ignited an 11-2 Greyhound run which pulled the Hounds within 55-47
