Denver, Colo – Eastern New Mexico suffered a tough 82-50 loss at Metro State Denver.

Starting off the first half with a 33.3 field goal percentage the Hounds trailed by 18 points heading into halftime and were unable to catch up to the Metro State Roadrunners. The Hounds struggled from beyond the arc finishing with a 14.3 three-point percentage and saw their field goal percentage decrease as the night went on for a final 31.7%.

Both teams started out strong in the first half with back to back baskets, but the Roadrunners used the glass to their advantage, outrebounding ENMU and taking a 40-22 lead into halftime. Going on a run at the beginning of the second half the Hounds looked ready for a comeback but stalled after making ten points in a row.

Kuany finished with seven points and four rebounds. Yosnier Cobas led the team with rebounds hitting five. Darius Sawyer and Marvin Mapaga finished with percentage shooting percentage from the free throw line. Despite being outrebounded, the Greyhounds still finished with 35 rebounds, 22 from the defensive side taking their season average to 36.8 rebounds a game.
