PORTALES, NM – Eastern New Mexico men's basketball saw their second home court win, this time against the Oklahoma Christian Eagles 81-66.

It was action from beyond the arc all night as the Hounds finished the night shooting 68.2 percent from beyond the arc connecting on 15-for-22 three-pointers. The Hounds held the Eagles to a 42.4 field goal percentage, 13.6 three-point percentage, and only allowed the Eagles to lead for 6 minutes in the first half.
Three Greyhounds hit double digits in while
Ibn Zaid led the team with 17 points, a career high. The junior guard from California played his best game of the season finishing with a 75.0 percent from the field and a perfect 100.0 percent from beyond the arc.
The Greyhounds only trailed in the first 10 minutes of play until a three-pointer from
Ibn Zaid gave them a one point led. From there the Hounds became hot from beyond adding six more three-pointers to give them the leg up into halftime. Not only were the Hounds connecting on baskets, but they continued reaching for the glass finishing the game with 30 team rebounds and saw their height assist number this season, 18.
Brandon Meadows played his best game as a Hound, hitting double digits with 12 points after going hot from beyond the arc connecting on 4-for-4. Meadows, a junior guard from the Bahamas, also finished the night leading the Hounds in rebounds recording nine.
Devin Pullum followed with 12 points of his own, connecting on 4-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Freshman
Nicolas Matheus stepped onto the court, only his second time as a Hound and was fouled back to back. Matheus, cool, calm, and collected knocked down all four free-throw shots to continue his perfect 100.0 percent season average.
The Hounds will not see any playing time until the new year where they invite rival West Texas A&M into the Greyhound Arena on January 4th, 2020.
