KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – Eastern New Mexico men's basketball team fall 64-50 to Texas A&M-Kingsville in a well matched contest.

The Greyhounds were out-rebounded by the Javelinas 43-27 as both teams were well matched in their skill set on the court. The Greyhounds finished the contest taking five leads in the first half and pushing the Javelinas to 16 turnovers overall.

Winning the tip off, Devin Pullum hit a jumper giving the Hounds the first points on the board. Deng Kuany grabbed his first rebound of the game after a Javelina miss and responded with two points of his own.

Subbing in, Ibn Zaid dished out two assists back to back giving Isaiah Murphy and Mathew Mazique their lone three-pointers of the night. With 2:37  left in the first half Devin Pullum caught one of his four steals for the night and drives to the basket for a layup to tie the contest 24-24.

Coming back from the halftime both teams were in a slump as nothing caught the net until Deng Kuany drew a foul and put up two. Kuany's free-throws helped the Hounds go on a 14-point run as they came within one point of TAMK with under eight minutes left to play.

The Hounds hung off the heels of the Javelinas as they pushed the ball trying to grab their first lead of the second half.  Down by nine with four minutes left to play; Garrick Sherrod passes over to Jose Serrano who drives towards the basket to draw a foul.
