UTPB Downs Eastern, 44-21

However, UTPB answered right back with a touchdown of their own to regain the advantage, 17-14.

With time winding down in the second quarter, the Hounds saw Howard Russell complete a 57-yard touchdown run to give a 21-17 lead heading into halftime.
