PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer were held 2-0 against St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon at Greyhound Stadium. The Greyhounds slip to 3-7 overall, with a 1-4 record in LSC play. The Rattlers move to 8-2-1 on the season, with a 2-2-2 conference standing.
The Rattlers took the lead in dramatic fashion in the opening five minutes. Megan Copeland scored an "Olimpico" goal, scoring directly from a corner kick, as Copelands cross found the top corner to give St.MU an early 1-0 lead.
Samantha Jeffries was called into action a few minutes later, making two saves in the first ten minutes. However, a mix up in defense led to an own goal for St. Mary's to go ahead 2-0 with just 20 minutes played. The first half ended 2-0 St. Mary's.

From the locker room,
Hannah Grady tested the Rattlers goalkeeper with a shot headed towards the bottom corner, going out for a corner. Grady popped up later in the match with another shot on goal, forcing another save from the Rattlers.
Kelsey Medina got in on the act with an attempt on the St. Mary's net, resulting in another save. The match finished with each team finishing with ten players as each team was shown a red card in separate incidents. The match concluded 2-0 to St. Mary's.

- Rebecca DiFronzo made three saves in 85 minutes, while Melinda Garza finished the game in the St.MU net.
