CLARENDON, Texas – ENMU rodeo competed at Clarendon College this weekend and advanced two women to the short round and had a nice showing in steer wrestling.
Shacie Marr earned the only points for the Greyhounds over the weekend as she advanced to the final night of competition with a 2.5 second run in the breakaway. A fourth-place finish in the short round from the junior from Tularosa, N.M. was good enough for 51.25 points.
Greeley Eastep held strong with a 7.6 second mark in goat tying. She fell just shy of a scoring time in the short round Saturday night.
The women ended up taking eighth out of 16 teams thanks to Marr's performance.
Another notable performance came from
Reese Polk who completed with event in 4.5 seconds. On his final run of the rodeo, he clocked in a 5.9 second run, but it was not enough for him to clinch his team points for the team competition.
The Hounds are back on the road to Vernon College for the next rodeo to be held October 20-22.
