LUBBOCK, Texas – Eastern New Mexico rodeo got a pair of results from both the men's and women's side over the weekend at Texas Tech.
Beau Dean and
Reese Polk advanced to the short go after successful runs in the long round. Dean improved his time from 5.4 to 5.1 to earn the team 100 points and an individual third place finish.
The effort helped the men take 11th in the three-day event.
On the women's side,
Shacie Marr squeezed into the short round after a 7.9 second run in goat tying. She clocked a 7.8 in the short go to garner 70 team points and split third and fourth place in that event.
The final tally put the women's program in 5th along with Frank Phillips College.
The weekend festivities concluded the fall season and the Greyhounds will wait until February 23-25 for the next rodeo to be held at Odessa College.
