WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Eastern New Mexico rodeo had three members awarded with 2022 National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Scholar American honors, this past Monday.

Jordyn Everson, Shacie Marr, Madelyn Schauer all received the honor for the 2021-22 season. The honor is awarded to NIRA members that have earned points at a 2021-2022 NIRA sanctioned rodeo, been in college for more than one term, earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and have been nominated by their rodeo coach. This is the second consecutive year that Marr and Schauer have received this honor.
