ENMU's second half spark not enough in loss

Greyhounds scored two goals at Oklahoma Christian

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Eastern New Mexico fell to Oklahoma Christian, 4-2, at Eagle Soccer Field Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds fell 4-0 early in the match, but battled in the second half.

A David Alonso pass in the 68th minute to Colin Ulrich led to Ulrich's first goal of the season.

Two minutes later, Sander Tønnessen scored and Ben Sauerländer was credited with the assist.

In the second half, Eastern outshot the Eagles seven to three.

"It was a tough, but important lesson to learn from," said head coach Brandon Misuraca. "Our focus over this next week is to prepare for Saturday night at Missouri S&T."

The Greyhounds are back on the road in the Show-Me for a pair of matches over Labor Day weekend.
