ROLLA, MO. – Eastern New Mexico men's soccer made a sounding statement with a 4-0 shutout victory over Missouri S&T.
The Hounds and Miners stood at a 0-0 tie at the halftime break, but four Greyhound goals in the second half proved the difference in the game.
"We had a good week of training so we felt really good coming into today's match," said head men's soccer coach
Brandon Misuraca. "S&T tested us quite a bit and we found a way to come out with a win."
Jaime Oliva got the party started for ENMU in the 49
th minute as he received a cross from left to right while he was sprinting towards the goal in the box. He took a shot that ricocheted off the MST goalkeeper and he drilled his second shot attempt into the back of the net.
Oliva returned the favor to
Alexandre Meres in the 52
nd minute as the Calera y Chozas, Spain native found his teammate who was making his debut in the Green and Silver.

The possession battle was crucial in ENMU's attempt at garnering their first victory of the season. Meres helped out the team by winning one-on-one battles and forcing poor passes from the Miners attack.
