Jeffries Supplies Career High in Saves During 3-0 Loss Against St. Edward's

Samantha Jeffries Supplied a career best 11 saves

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer faced tough competition during a 3-0 defeat against St. Edward's on Saturday afternoon at Lewis-Chen Family Field. The Greyhounds sit at 2-5 on the season, with an 0-2 conference record. The Hilltoppers move to 6-1-1 overall, while holding a 2-0 conference record.

St. Edward's wasted no time to get on the board, scoring just four minutes into the contest. From their Samantha Jeffries repelled six shots over the next 10 minutes of the match. The Greyhounds picked up two shots later in the half but trailed 1-0 after the first 45 minutes.
 
As the second half kicked off, Abby Ditzler tested the St. Edward's defense with an early shot. Shortly after, SEU found the back of the net again at the 54th minute. Tori Galindo looked to give the Greyhounds a route back into the game, but had their shot saved in the 61st minute. St. Edward's tacked on one more goal before the match end, taking the 3-0 win over ENMU
