DENTON, TEXAS –Â
Emma Hafenbrak's goal in the 75 minute was enough for Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer to beat Texas Woman's 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Pioneer Soccer Park. The Greyhounds move to 3-5 overall, with a 1-2 LSC record. TWU fall to 1-5-2, with a 1-1-1 standing in conference play.
The match got out to a quick start with the Pioneers finding a shot on goal within the first six minutes. From then, Eastern tested the TWU net-minder with
Caroline Jensen and
Hannah Grady registering a shot on goal shortly after. As the half continued, each team battled for possession as each team would head to the locker room at 0-0.

Eastern was quick out of the break, with
Kelsey Medina finding an early shot on target within the first minute. Shortly after,
Haley Huff forced the Texas Woman's goalie into a diving save as the Greyhounds were getting closer to finding the opening goal. The opening goal did go to the Greyhounds as Hafenbrak scored in the 75
th minute. With the Pioneers goalie looking to clear the ball, Hafenbrak closed down the keeper with the ball ricocheting into the bottom corner to take a 1-0 advantage.

With the Pioneers trailing, they tested
Samantha Jeffries into three more saves in the final ten minutes of action. The Hounds held on to match, taking a 1-0 win over Texas Woman's.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hafenbrak scored their first goal with the Greyhounds, and their first career game winning goal.
- The Greyhounds posted their third shutout of the season, while posting their most shots during a game this season.
- Four Greyhounds played the entire 90 minutes: Jeffries, Grady, Kinsie Mitchell, and Selena Casias during the clean sheet.
- The Greyhounds bested Texas Woman's for the first time since 2017, when ENMU beat the Pioneers 2-0. This also marks the Hounds first win over TWU in Denton, Texas since 2014, and the first time in 90 minutes.
