PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Woman's Soccer battled till the very end, but #25 Angelo State University prevailed 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Greyhound Stadium. The Greyhounds slip to 3-6 on the season with a 1-3 conference standing. ASU remain undefeated with an 9-0-1 standing and a 4-0 LSC record.
The Rams start the match with early pressure winning possession up the field. The continued pressing led to three shots on goal in the first ten minutes, with
Samantha Jeffries saving all three. Angelo found the breakthrough at the 27
th minute, with Grace Jordan curling a shot into the top left corner. Both teams were held for shots in the rest of the half, with ASU leading 1-0 at the break.

Both teams started slowly in the second 45 minutes, with just one shot for each team in the first 20 minutes of the second half. The Greyhounds started to test the Angelo State back backline with 10 minutes to go with
Sofia Trejo's header forcing a save from ASU. The Greyhounds had one last chance on goal in the 90
th minute, as
Tori Galindo saw their effort saved at the near post. #25 Angelo State held on to the 1-0 win over ENMU.
