PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico Volleyball program was dealt a 3-0 defeat against (RV) Angelo State on Saturday afternoon at Greyhound Arena. ENMU shift to 8-15 overall on the season, while sporting an 0-10 conference record. The Rambelles now have a record of 17-3, with a LSC standing of 7-1.

Angelo State walked away with a victory after winning the match in straight sets: 25-23, 25-17, and 25-12. The opening set as back and forth, with both teams sitting at 10-10 after a 6-0 run from ENMU. The Rambelles used a 4-0 streak to take a 22-19 lead and held off ENMU to claim the first set. During the second set, ASU broke a 13-13 tie with a 11-1 streak to put the frame out of reach. In the final set, both teams were close with an 8-8 tie, but Angelo State scored in four-point and five-point bunches down the stretch to complete the sweep over ENMU.
NOTABLE STATS
- Gracelyn Stubbs and Kinzie Davis provided an ENMU high for kills, seven and six kills, respectively. Stubbs and Kayla Ison each distributed 13 assists in the match.
- Leading the defensive effort at the net, Mikaela Garvin finished with three total blocks while Stubbs and Deziree Flowers each had two block assists.
- Getsemani Carrasco led ENMU with 14 digs, while Stubbs eclipsed double figures with 10 digs.
- The Rambelles were effective during the match, posting a .307 hitting percentage with 41 kills and 39 assists. Defensively, the Greyhounds were outmatched by ASU for digs (46-42) and blocks (8-4)

"Our serve-receive and defense afforded us some chances to stay in the match early on," said Head Volleyball Coach Sia Poyer. "However, ASU's offense was a lot to handle this evening, making few errors,".
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Stubbs compiled their 13th double-double of the season (13 assists, 10 digs).
- The Greyhounds continue the homestand next week when Texas A&M International comes to town to kick-off homecoming weekend on Friday, Oct. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. The match against the Dustdevils will be the programs Neon Night, with fans in attendance receiving neon bands.
