WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer conceded with just 12 minutes remaining against #2 Midwestern State, giving the Mustangs a 1-0 win over ENMU on Saturday night at Stang Park. ENMU shifts to 4-6-4 overall with a 2-2-2 record in Lone Star Conference play. The #2 Mustangs remain unbeaten (14-0-1) with a perfect 6-0-0 conference record.
The home team opened the match with intent, posing two shots on goal in the 35 minutes. Neither team had clear opportunities in the first half, with Greyhounds goalkeeper
Paul Waschkau making two saves in the opening period.

After a stalemate for most of the second half, Midwestern State opened the scoring from an in-direct free-kick in the penalty box with 12 minutes to play. A red card for the Greyhounds made it difficult to comeback, as the Mustangs held on to win the game 1-0.
NOTABLE STATS
- Nick Huenig led the Greyhounds with three shots and one shot on goal from the bench. Waschkau made four saves in net, while ENMU produced one team save.
- For the Mustangs, Mere Escobar scored the game winner with an assist from Maycol Reyes. Escobar led the team with four shots, while Max Gonzales' three shots and two shots on goal was just behind. Adam Braman made one save for MSU in goal.
- The Mustangs held the edge for shots (13-5) and shots on goal (6-1). MSU committed nine fouls, while ENMU finished with eight fouls.

"The boys worked their socks off and truly deserved to walk away from the match with a valuable point," said Head Men's Soccer Coach Brandon Misuraca. "While there may be a bit of a sour taste in our mouths, we will use this as motivation going into these final three regular season games," said Misuraca.
