Volleyball Beats Cameron In Straight Sets, 3-0

The Greyhounds defense picked up 63 digs and 10 blocks during the sweep

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball ended a 12-match skid in conference play with an emphatic straight sets victory over Cameron, 3-0. Winning two matches in a row, the Greyhounds now stand at 10-17 on the season, with a 1-12 LSC record. The Aggies slip to 5-20 overall along with a 2-9 LSC standing.

Eastern took the contest against the Aggies in straight sets: 25-22, 25-15, and 25-20. The Aggies started the better team to begin the first set with an early lead. However, midway through the set the Greyhounds went on a 9-0 streak to jump in front of the Aggies. An Aggies run put them ahead 20-18, but a 7-2 streak ended the opening frame for ENMU. In the second frame, the Greyhounds jumped in front 13-6 courtesy of an 8-0 run. A back and forth led to ENMU taking the second frame. During the final set, short spurts of points gave the Hounds an advantage to take the final set 25-20.
