PORTALES, N.M. – After a tight opening set, Eastern New Mexico Volleyball fell 3-0 to #5 West Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon at Greyhound Arena on Senior Day. With the defeat, ENMU slip to 10-18 overall, while holding a 1-13 LSC record. The ranked Lady Buffs improve to 22-2 overall, with a 11-1 conference record.
The #5 Lady Buffs took the match in straight set over the Greyhounds: 25-20, 25-13, and 25-15. In the opening set, ENMU found themselves behind 22-10, but 10-1 streak made the gap just two points. ENMU got back into the set after three kills, two service aces, and a block in the streak. The Lady Buffs held on in the first set, 25-20. After a tight beginning to the second frame, WT ended the stanza on a large 18-5 streak. In the final set, the Greyhounds stopped any large runs by the Lady Buffs but WT held out to win the final period.
NOTABLE STATS
- Mikaela Garvin paced the Greyhounds attack with nine kills, while Kayla Ison (14 assists) and Gracelyn Stubbs (11 assists) led the offense.
- Defensively, Getsemani Carrasco picked up 18 digs over the three-set match, while a trio of Greyhounds finished with two total blocks in the match: Garvin, Stubbs, and Halle Sanders.
- The Lady Buffs finished with 52 kills compared to 32 for the Hounds. WT narrow beat the Greyhounds for aces (4-3) and blocks (5-4).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Greyhounds recognized six seniors of the program for all their dedication and hard work to the team: Carrasco, Kinzie Davis, Deziree Flowers, Garvin, Rylee Mapes, and Kali Nelson.
- ENMU will play their final home match of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 31, against Wayland Baptist. The Halloween game will begin at 6 p.m. with fans encouraged to wear costumes to the match.
