SAN ANTONIO, Texas – After narrowly falling in the opening set, Eastern New Mexico Women's Volleyball were swept, 3-0, against St. Mary's on Friday evening at Bill Greehey Arena. ENMU slip to 8-11 overall, while holding a 0-6 Lone Star Conference record. The Rattlers improved to .500 on the season (8-8), with a 3-2 LSC standing.

The opening set was a result of runs with the Greyhounds using an early 4-0 stretch to take a 6-4 lead. Later in the set, ENMU took poll position with a 6-0 streak to move to set point, 24-21. However, the home team rallied five straight points to take the first set, 26-24. In the second frame, both teams went back and forth with St.MU holding a slight 16-14 lead. St. Mary's ended the frame with a 9-1 run, finishing the second set 25-15. In the final set, St Mary's jumped out to an early 9-1 lead, winning the set 25-12 over ENMU.
NOTABLE STATS
- Mikaela Garvin led the Hounds offense with seven kills, while Halle Sanders contributed six kills. Gracelyn Stubbs supplied a team high nine assists, while Kayla Ison finished with six assists.
- Defensively, Getsemani Carrasco posted 18 digs in just three sets with Kinzie Davis contributing six digs. Deziree Flowers and Sanders each finished with four total blocks, with Garvin adding three total blocks.
- St. Mary's held the edge in most statistical categories, with nine service aces helping the Rattlers. ENMU compiled 26 kills, 21 assists, 42 digs, and seven blocks.

"We had our chance to win the first set, with three set points," said Head Volleyball Coach Sia Poyer. "We didn't get it done. The match could've been different with we won the opening set," said Poyer.
