LUBBOCK, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball extended the match to four-sets, but Lubbock Christian picked up a 3-1 victory on Wednesday evening at Rip Griffin Arena. ENMU falls to 10-20 on the season, while maintaining a 1-14 conference record. Meanwhile, the Chaps shift to 16-9 overall with an 8-7 LSC standing.
ENMU dropped the road contest to the Chaparrals in four sets, falling in the opening two sets 25-13, then Eastern took the third frame 27-25 to extend the match, before the Chaps picked up the final set, 25-16. In the third set, ENMU fired an 11-3 run at the end of the frame to keep the match alive. The streak started with a pair of kills, ending with an 8-0 run. After LCU got to match point, the Greyhounds posted three straight points to win the set.
NOTABLE STATS
- Kali Nelson led the Greyhounds attacking effort with 12 kills during the match, while Mikaela Garvin and Gracelyn Stubbs both finished with eight.
- As for assists, Kayla Ison led the Greyhounds with 20 along with Stubbs contributing 16 assists.
- Defensively, Getsemani Carrasco supplied 15 digs, with Rylee Mapes chipping in with 10 digs. At the net, both Deziree Flowers and Nelson finished with two total blocks.
- Lubbock Christian held the edge in most categories throughout the match: Kills (57-44), assists (56-41), digs (65-53), and blocks (5-4).

- Nelson hit double-digit kills for the fourth time this season, while Ison dished out 20 or more assists for the ninth time this season.
- Eastern head to Silver City, N.M. for the final match of the 2023 season, facing Western New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 10. The first serve is set for 6 p.m.
