Brianna Kauffmann Named Head Football Athletic Trainer

Kauffmann joins from Gustavus Adolphus College

PORTALES, N.M. - Earlier this month, Brianna Kauffmann joined the Eastern New Mexico athletic training staff as the Head Football Athletic Trainer. Kauffmann will cover all athletic training needs for the ENMU Football program for the upcoming 2023 season.

A native of New Ulm, Minn., Kauffmann comes to Portales after completing a pair of undergraduate degree at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. Kauffmann spent time in their academic career assisting the athletic training staff of Gustavus Adolphus and their 21 NCAA Division III varsity sports.

With the Gusties, Kauffmann worked assessing student-athletes and providing individualized care. Kauffmann has worked directly with Men's and Women's Basketball Programs for Gustavus Adolphus, along with the Gusties football program. In addition to gaining athletic training experience at the collegiate athletics level, Kauffmann has provided coverage for Minnesota State High School Tournaments including gymnastics, Boys Basketball, and Football.

Kauffmann completed a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Gustavus Adolphus College, an accredited program by The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), graduating in May 2023. In addition to their degree in athletic training, Kauffmann also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Sciences.

Kauffmann joins the athletic department with several certifications, including being a Certified Athletic Trainer from the Board of Certification. Kauffmann is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), and certification from the American Red Cross in CPR and AED, along with First Aid Certifications.
