PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball cruised past Southwest (N.M.) 3-0 on Monday evening at the Jack and Mabel Maddox Student Life Center. ENMU improve to 8-5 on the season, while USW slip to 0-11 overall.

The Greyhounds started out quick during its three set wins (25-9, 25-20, and 25-15). ENMU began the first set ahead 12-2, following a streak of eight straight points. ENMU led by as many as 17 in the first set. Southwest made things close in the second set, with both teams tied at 16-16. At that point, ENMU went on a 7-2 stretch to take its first lead of the set and captured the frame 25-20. During the final set, ENMU jumped out to a 16-5 advantage and eased their way to a 25-15 set win.
NOTABLE STATS
- ENMU dominated the team statistics, leading the match in kills (40-26), assists (39-26), and digs (43-32). The Greyhounds managed a .357 hitting percentage, while the Mustangs finished with a .021 hitting percentage.
- Mikaela Garvin and Gracelyn Stubbs led ENMU in kills with 13 and 10, respectively.
- For assists, Kayla Ison (18 assists) and Stubbs (17 assists) led the way.
- On defense, Stubbs and Garvin each had two total blocks, while Getsemani Carrasco finished with 22 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Stubbs compiled their 9th double-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills and 17 assists.
- ENMU beat Southwest for the second time this season, beating the Mustangs 3-0 earlier this month in Odessa, Texas (9/9/23).
- ENMU now prepares for its first conference match of the season on Friday, Sept. 22. The Greyhounds will head east to Oklahoma Christian, with the first serve set for 5 p.m. (MST).
