Men's Soccer Holds UT Tyler To 0-0 Draw

ENMU earned a point towards conference standings following the draw.

TYLER, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer (4-3-5, 2-1-2 LSC) grinded out a 0-0 draw with UT Tyler (2-5-5, 0-2-4 LSC) on Saturday evening at Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.

A lackluster first half featured just one shot on goal for each team. Robin Vandewalle posted two shots in the first half, forcing the Patriots into a save. On the opposite side of the field, the Patriots fired nine shots with Milo Paci making one save.

After the halftime intermission, the Patriots turned up the pressure to make it difficult for the Greyhounds to play out. UTT flashed 11 shots in the second half, with just two going on goal. Paci saved both shots on goal, each coming in the opening five minutes of the second half. Eastern mustered two shots in the second half (Yahir Jimenez and Arthur Macri).

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE

  • The Patriots remain unbeaten against the Greyhounds, holding a 1-0-3 overall record.
  • Paci kept his third clean sheet of the season and second in a row.
  • Eastern has kept back-to-back shutouts for the first time in the coaching tenure of Brandon Misuraca, and the first time since 2019. It is the first consecutive conference shutouts since 2016.
  • Six Greyhounds played the full 90 minutes: Jimenez, Kris McDonald, Pablo Nodar, Paci, Ludwig Scherer, and Rodrigo Velasco.
