PORTALES, N.M. – A second half goal from St. Mary's (6-5-3, 4-3-2 LSC) dealt Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer (2-10-1, 1-8-0 LSC) a home loss, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

St. Mary's jumped on the board in the opening 10 minutes, following a penalty kick goal from Shelby Paniagua. After the goal, Eastern peppered the St. Mary's net with five shots including three on goal, but the Rattlers maintained a 1-0 lead at the break. Shortly after the start of the second half,Â
Ally Spicker tucked away a goal for the Greyhounds in the 50
th minute. Spicker intercepted a back pass, then rounded the on-rushing goalkeeper to level the match at 1-1.
The tie score lasted just six minutes as Bella Rameriz restored the lead for St. Mary's, nodding in a header from a free kick. The Greyhounds looked to find a tying goal for the second time, posting four more shots in the second half. Eastern did test the goalkeeper twice, but St. Mary's held out for a 2-1 victory.

- Spicker netted their first goal for the Greyhounds, becoming Eastern's fifth different goal scorer this season.
- Yaritza Pelayo made two saves in net, while Meghann Wingsutton led the team with a pair of shots, while eight other Greyhounds had one shot.
