PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball (3-12, 0-4 LSC) went up against nationally ranked #14 Angelo State (13-2, 3-1 LSC), as the visiting Rambelles came away with a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
ASU 3, ENMU 1 (25-23, 22-25, 15-25, 13-25)
Cayla Reyes led the Greyhounds in several categories, including assists (12), digs (15), and service aces (1).
Angelina Sanchez was also a key contributor, just missing a double-double with 11 assists and nine digs.
Darcy Dodd eclipsed double figures for kills with 13, while
Halle Sanders was just behind with nine.
Three Greyhounds reached double-figure for assists, with Sanders adding 11 digs,
Imahni Brown provided 12 digs, along with Reyes leading the group with 15. Dodd compiled nine digs during the match.
Randi Crandall,
Brianna Hernandez, and Sanders all finished with three block assists to lead the Greyhounds. Three other Greyhounds finished with one block assist.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORES
- Reyes collected their fourth double-double of the campaign, while leading the Greyhounds in assists and digs during a match for the second time this season.
- The Greyhounds faced a nationally ranked opponent for the first time this season.
