PORTALES, N.M. – Two scores in the first half lifted Texas A&M International (4-7-6, 3-5-4 LSC) over Eastern New Mexico Woman's Soccer (2-12-1, 1-10-0 LSC), 2-0, on Friday afternoon at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

The Dustdevils wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, finding the opening goal in the first three minutes. ENMU looked to respond as
Gaia Chies flashed two shots towards goal shortly after. Six minutes before halftime, TAMIU doubled their lead to go up 2-0 just before the half.
Sloane Sinnott put a shot on target in the final moments of the half, but it was pushed away by the TAMIU keeper.
In the second half,
Meghann Wingsutton got a shot on target, while
Rosie Willmott Joyce made a pair of saves to keep the score at 2-0.
Taylor Wilson followed with a shot on target, then the Greyhounds had a goal called back due to an offsides call. Willmott Joyce made two more saves in the final ten minutes, as the match ended 2-0 TAMIU.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Both teams were close on shots, with the Dustdevils leading 14-12, and shots on goal (6-4).
- Wingsutton finished with a team best three shots, as four different Greyhounds had a shot on goal. Willmott Joyce produced four saves during the match.
