PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Softball were shutout, 4-0, against #25 Angelo State on Sunday afternoon at Greyhound Softball Field. With the victory, ASU claims the series against ENMU 2-1. The Greyhounds drop to 15-11 on the season, while dropping to 8-10 in conference action. The nationally ranked Rambelles improved to 20-8 overall, with an 11-7 record.

The Rambelles wasted no time in scoring the game's first run, as a two-out double with a runner in scoring position brought home a run. ENMU had the opportunity to respond, loading up the bases after a pair of singles and a walk. However, Angelo State forced a soft line out and a fly ball in foul territory to avoid damage.
In the second frame, a double lead off the inning and a walk put runners on the corners. A deep double down the right field line scored both runners, making the score 3-0. Angelo State picked up another run in the next inning from a home run. ENMU struggled at the plate, being held hitless after the third inning with both defense's playing very well. ENMU held the Rambelles to no more than one hit in each of the final four innings, turning a pair of double plays. ASU finished the game with a 4-0 win.

- The Greyhounds provided three singles during the game, with Alondra Vasquez, Samantha Gutierrez, and Cecy Jurado picking up the hits. Angelo State tallied 10 hits, including five doubles and a home run.
- Defensively, the Greyhounds compiled a pair of double plays. Jordan Rivera and Chanler Groves (1-4) combining for the first double play, while Gutierrez, Grace Rofii, and Valeria Contreras connecting on a 5-3-6 double play.
- Marissa Rodriguez started the game and took the loss, giving up three runs from five hits. Rivera allowed one run over 2.1 innings, while Emma Southerland tossed three scoreless frames.
- Cheyenne Floyd totaled seven strikeouts in relief to pick up the win, tossing 6.2 innings allowing just one hit. Averie Gunther started the game, recording one out and allowing two hits and a walk.
