PORTALES, N.M. – A goal in each half setback Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer (1-3-1, 0-1 LSC) against West Texas A&M (4-2, 1-0 LSC), 2-0, in a Lone Star Conference matchup on Wednesday evening at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
The visitors scored a goal in each half, as Avery Putnam opened the scoring with a unassisted goal in the 12
th minute, while Emily McGuire sealed the match with a goal in the second half (56
th minute). Bailey Malone put McGuire through on goal to claim the assist.
A quartet of Greyhounds recorded a pair of shots:
Louise Godden,
Ally Spicker,
Sierra Villanueva, and
Taylor Wilson. Wilson supplied both shots on goal from the bench, leading the team. 13 different Greyhounds finished the match with a shot in the game.
Rosie Willmott Joyce played all 90 minutes in net for the Greyhounds, coming away with a pair of saves.

- The Greyhounds posted a season best 17 shots on goal, with five shots on goal being the second most in a match this season (most at home).
- Sarah Tate, Sofia Trejo, Villanueva, and Willmott Joyce all played the full 90 minutes. Sloane Sinnott (57 minutes) and Wilson (52 minutes) each played significant roles coming on as a sub.
- The Buffs take a firm control of the all-time series, with the Greyhounds trailing 5-20-4.
