PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer (1-0) started the season on the right foot picking up a 2-0 victory over Adams State (1-0) on Thursday afternoon at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

Nick Huenig got the Hounds off the mark just two minutes into the game, taking advantage of a scattered ASU backline.
Robin Vandewalle sealed the game late, sliding in a goal in the 88th minute.
Yahir Jimenez and
Ben Sauerländer combined to set up Huenig on the opener, while
Teddy McIntyre and
Augustine Banhire contributed to the late goal from Vandewalle.
Milo Paci faced three shots on goal during the game, making all three stops.

- The Greyhounds controlled the game in terms of shots, 10-5, while each team had three shots on goal.
- ENMU has beaten Adams State in their last three matches, and for the first time at home in that streak.
