ODESSA, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball (11-3, 6-2 LSC) dropped a road Lone Star Conference contest against UT Permian Basin (9-6, LSC 7-1), 77-62, on Thursday night at the Falcon Dome.

Jaz Salon provided a team high 12 points for the Greyhounds, hitting four three-pointers during the game.
Victoria Barrera compiled 10 points from the bench, dialing up a trio of three pointers.
Jayla Smith also entered double figures with 11 points.
Julieta Ceja secured eight rebounds (team high), while
Kaitlyn Edmondson pulled down seven boards. Leading the team in assists, Barrera provided four helpers.
Eastern struggled with turnovers, giving up the ball 27 times during the 40 minutes. The Falcons took advantage using a 27-0 run in the first quarter to lead 29-5 after the opening period. From then, the Greyhounds brought the deficit to 19 points at halftime, but the Falcons led by as many as 27 in the 3
rd quarter. The ENMU bench accounted for 37 points, while out-rebounding the Falcons 43-34.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- The Falcons have now won three straight meetings against the Greyhounds, the longest winning streak for UTPB in series history.
- ENMU managed shooting 36.1% from the field (22-61), taking 39 three during the game (11-39, 28.2%), while connecting on 7-8 free throws (87.5%). Meanwhile, the home Falcons finished shooting 43.8% from the field (28-64), 33.3% from three (10-30), and 11-16 at the foul line (68.8%).
- Salon tailed a season high four made threes during the game, while Barrera gathered a personal high for minutes (21), made threes (3), attempted threes (6), and assists (4).
- Eastern continues road weekend against Angelo State on Saturday, Jan. 11. Both teams are expected to tipoff at 12 p.m. (MST) / 1 p.m. (CST).
