EDMOND, Okla. — The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat against Oklahoma Christian in Lone Star Conference action Saturday at Eagle Soccer Field.
The Greyhounds (0-10-0, 0-7-0 LSC) were limited to just two shots in the match, with
Faith Zint and
Samantha Wood each recording attempts. Goalkeeper
Rosie Willmott Joyce recorded 12 saves against Oklahoma Christian's aggressive offense, which tallied 37 shots with 17 on goal.
Oklahoma Christian (5-5-1, 3-4-0 LSC) took control early with a goal by Caid Jefferson in the second minute and added three more scores in the second half. The Eagles dominated possession, earning 11 corner kicks to ENMU's two.
The Greyhounds will look to rebound when they travel to face Sul Ross State on Wednesday, October 15 in Alpine, Texas.
