PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team dropped a straight-set decision to Texas-Dallas (25-27, 19-25, 20-25) Thursday evening at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena for Parent Night.

Junior middle blocker
Amya Speller led the Greyhound attack with a eight kills and a .353 hitting percentage. The Monument, Colorado, native added five blocks to her stat line while providing a consistent threat throughout the match.

Outside hitter
Sophia Valdez paced ENMU with 12 kills and contributed defensively with seven digs. The junior added a service ace and a block to her all-around performance, continuing her role as a steady presence for the Hounds.

Aaliyah Butler and
Addison Bartlett each contributed five kills to the ENMU attack. Butler added four assisted blocks and a solo block while Bartlett added a block assist.
Imahni Brown registered 20 digs and a team-high two service aces, providing a spark from the service line.

Violeta Flores orchestrated the offense, dishing out 18 assists while teammates
Catalina Gutierrez and
Jayla Yoder added five assists each.

Texas-Dallas (5-15, 2-7 LSC) was paced by Jane Burkhardt's 12 kills and 22 digs, while Abby Gentner and Mari Hernandez anchored the Comets' defense with 10 and 24 digs respectively.

The Greyhounds return to action Friday, Oct. 25, when they host UT Tyler at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena in Portales. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. MT.
