SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team fell to conference opponent St. Mary's 5-1 on Sunday at Cornerstone Christian Stadium in San Antonio. The Greyhounds move to 0-14 overall and 0-11 in conference play following the road contest.
Senior forward
Louise Godden provided the offensive highlight for ENMU, finding the back of the net in the 28th minute with a right-footed strike to the bottom right corner of the goal. Senior
Faith Zint recorded the assist on the play, her first of the season.
St. Mary's Elena Kossler led the Rattlers' attack with a hat trick, scoring unassisted in the 26th minute before adding two more goals in the second half. Both second-half goals came with assists from Anabelle Rodriguez as the home team pulled away.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Rosie Willmott Joyce was active throughout the match for the Hounds, recording 10 saves while playing the full 90 minutes. Her performance kept ENMU competitive despite facing consistent pressure from the St. Mary's offense.
Eastern managed one shot on goal in the contest, with Godden's successful strike accounting for the team's lone attempt. Defensively,

Sophia Jeffres each played the full 90 minutes on the back line for Eastern New Mexico.
ENMU will look to bounce back when they return to action on Wednesday, October 29, traveling to face UT Tyler in another conference matchup. ENMU will be seeking its first win of the season against the Patriots.
