TYLER, Texas - The Eastern New Mexico women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat against UT Tyler on Tuesday at Citizens First Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex. The Greyhounds (0-15, 0-12) were unable to generate offensive momentum against the Patriots (10-2-4, 7-2-4).
UT Tyler struck early when Melissa Oliveira found the back of the net just 52 seconds into the match. The Patriots maintained pressure throughout the first half, outshooting the Greyhounds 15-0 and taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Patriots added three more goals in the second half, with Oliveira scoring her second of the match at the 49:08 mark. Sarah Hayes extended the lead in the 57th minute with an assist from Natalie Jones, before Danica Anaya capped the scoring in the 65th minute with assists from Marin Love and Katie Wong.

Rosie Willmott Joyce delivered a strong performance with six saves against UT Tyler's relentless attack. The Patriots finished with 26 total shots, including 10 on goal, while the Greyhounds were unable to register a shot attempt throughout the 90 minutes of play.
The Greyhounds return home for their final home match of the regular season on Friday, November 1, hosting Midwestern State for Senior Day at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium in Portales. Senior Day festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the match to follow at 11 a.m.
