DENVER, Colo. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team opened their 2025-26 campaign with a commanding 80-52 victory over Regis University on Friday night at the Regis Fieldhouse.

Junior forward
Chloe Dallas led the Greyhounds with a dominant performance, recording 13 points and four rebounds. Dallas showcased her defensive prowess as well, registering a game-high four blocks including a key rejection against Regis' Emily Allison midway through the first half.

Senior guard
Hannah Jensen provided a perfect shooting night from beyond the arc, going 3-for-3 from three-point range. Jensen's sharpshooting helped the Greyhounds establish their lead early and maintain control throughout the contest. She also contributed defensively with three steals in the game.

Aaliyah Smith made her presence felt at the free-throw line, converting crucial shots late in the second quarter to extend the Greyhounds' lead to 17 points heading into halftime.

Junior guard
Julieta Ceja provided steady playmaking throughout the game, finishing with nine points and a team-high six rebounds.

The visitors established control early, building a double-digit advantage in the first quarter and never allowing Regis to threaten their lead. By halftime, ENMU had built a commanding 43-26 advantage.

The third quarter saw the Greyhounds continue to apply pressure on both ends of the court, extending their lead to 22 points heading into the final period. ENMU's defensive intensity remained high throughout the game, limiting Regis to a 35.7% shooting percentage as a team.

With the win, Eastern New Mexico starts the season 1-0 and has not lost a season-opener since 2017.

 The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, November 15, when they face Adams State University, who is currently receiving votes in the preseason national polls.
