EDMOND, Okla. - The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team (4-24, 1-15 LSC) dropped a four-set conference match to Oklahoma Christian (18-9, 10-6 LSC) on Friday evening at the Payne Athletic Center in Edmond.

Sophia Valdez led the Greyhound attack with 15 kills while hitting an impressive .344 attack percentage. The junior outside hitter added seven digs and a block assist in a strong all-around effort.

Amya Speller contributed seven kills and three blocks (one solo, two assists) for ENMU. The middle blocker's defensive presence at the net helped the Greyhounds record nine total blocks in the match while also adding a career-high four serving aces for the Hounds.

Addison Bartlett added four kills and recorded 11 digs, continuing her consistent defensive play in the back row. The freshman outside hitter also contributed with three assisted blocks and a service ace.

The Hounds showed promise in the second set, securing a 25-16 victory after dropping the opener 25-19. However, Oklahoma Christian regained control in the third and fourth sets, winning 25-17 and 25-13 to claim the match.

Eastern's offense struggled to find consistency throughout the contest, finishing with a .157 team hitting percentage compared to Oklahoma Christian's .282. The Eagles also held advantages in kills (51-34) and digs (47-40).

Catalina Gutierrez directed the Greyhound offense with 17 assists, while
Violeta Flores added 17 assists of her own in the setter rotation.
Imahni Brown contributed defensively with a team-high 14 digs from the libero position.

Oklahoma Christian was paced by Camryn McGough's 11 kills on a .500 hitting percentage, while Chloe Jones added 10 kills and a team-high 15 digs for the Eagles.

The Greyhounds will conclude their 2025 season on Saturday, November 15, when they travel to Lawton, Oklahoma, to face Cameron University in a Lone Star Conference matchup.
