PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico women's basketball team will travel to Las Cruces to take on the New Mexico State Aggies for an exhibition game for the Greyhounds on Monday, Dec. 29, at 5 p.m. MT at the Pan American Center.
 
The Greyhounds enter the matchup with a 7-4 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark in Lone Star Conference play. ENMU has won six of its last seven games, including a thrilling 74-71 overtime victory over Simon Fraser on Dec. 20 in Las Vegas, Nev.
 
In the win over the Red Leafs, Aaliyah Smith led the Greyhounds with 21 points, three assists and three steals. Tatiana Platonova provided a strong inside presence, finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Shay Moseberry delivered an all-around performance with 11 points, seven rebounds and a team-high five steals. Smith and Julieta Ceja were both named to the all-tournament team. ENMU's bench was a major factor in the overtime victory, scoring 71 points.
 
Individually, Smith leads the Greyhounds with 11.8 points per game and has recorded 21 steals while shooting .424 from the field. Ceja averages 11.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game with 15 steals and a .455 three-point shooting percentage. Chloe Dallas contributes 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting .553 from the field in five games played.
 
As a team, ENMU averages 70.2 points per game compared to opponents' 59.2. The Greyhounds shoot .381 from the field and .328 from three-point range while holding opponents to .391 and .280, respectively. ENMU converts .677 of its free throw attempts compared to opponents' .690. The Greyhounds average 37.8 rebounds per game compared to opponents' 37.4 and dish out 13.5 assists per game compared to opponents' 12.1. ENMU commits 17.0 turnovers per game while forcing 23.5. The Greyhounds also lead in steals with 13.1 per game compared to opponents' 7.8. ENMU averages 1.9 blocks per game compared to opponents' 2.0.
 
The Aggies enter the contest with a 3-8 overall record and a 0-0 mark in Conference USA play. New Mexico State has lost its last two games, including an 83-66 loss to UC Irvine and a 70-59 loss at Saint Mary's (CA). The Aggies' last win came against LSC foe Western New Mexico, 76-44, on Dec. 14 in Las Cruces.
 
Individually, Lucia Yenes leads New Mexico State with 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting .457 from the field with 23 assists and 15 steals. Imani Warren averages 11.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game with 30 assists and 24 steals. Morane Dossou contributes 4.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game with four blocks and four steals.
 
As a team, New Mexico State averages 57.1 points per game compared to opponents' 67.2. The Aggies shoot .405 from the field and .281 from three-point range while holding opponents to .390 and .300, respectively. New Mexico State converts .606 of its free throw attempts compared to opponents' .690. The Aggies average 35.5 rebounds per game compared to opponents' 38.1 and dish out 14.0 assists per game compared to opponents' 13.5. New Mexico State commits 23.4 turnovers per game while forcing 18.5. The Aggies average 9.4 steals per game compared to opponents' 12.5 and block 2.8 shots per game compared to opponents' 2.7.
 
This marks the twentieth meeting between the two programs in which Eastern has never defeated New Mexico State in the all-time series.
