LUBBOCK, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball (13-8, 8-7 LSC) battled hard against #17 Lubbock Christian (20-3, 14-1 LSC), but fell on the road against the Lady Chaps, 76-61, on Saturday afternoon at Rip Griffin Center.

Leading the Greyhounds in scoring and assists,
Nataya Lockett provided 15 points and five assists during the contest. Lockett finished 6-13 from the field, while producing three rebounds and a steal.
Julieta Ceja was effective with 14 points on 5-9 shooting, including 2-4 from three.
Kaitlyn Edmondson posted 12 points in just 19 minutes on the court, going 6-9 from the floor.
Abbi Holder secured a team high six rebounds, while Edmondson pulled down five boards, and
Trinity Hudson finished with four rebounds.
Eastern New Mexico played the Lady Chaps close through the first 25 minutes of the contest, taking a 40-39 lead with five minutes remaining in the quarter. From there, the home team closed the quarter with a 15-4 run to take a 10-point lead into the final quarter. The Lady Chaps led by as many as 18 points in the final quarter, going 9-10 from the foul line in the final period.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- The Greyhounds won the rebounding battle (36-28) but were out matched for turnovers. LCU committed just six turnovers, scoring 21 points from turnovers, while ENMU turned the ball over 14 times, well finding just three points from LCU turnovers.
- Eastern finished just 25-54 from the floor (46.3%), finishing 50.0% from behind the arc (6-12), while going 5-10 at the foul line (50.0%). Lubbock Christian just piped the Greyhounds for shooting efficiency, going 27-55 from the field (49.1%), hitting 11 threes (11-26, 42.3%), while going 11-16 at the foul line.
- Ceja supplied a season best 14 points during the game, while Lockett tied a season mark for assists with five.
- Eastern returns home for their next game, playing Angelo State on Thursday, Feb. 6 at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena. First tip in the conference contest is slated for 5 p.m..
