Tighe joins the Greyhounds from Iowa Western

PORTALES, N.M. – Head ENMU Women's Basketball Coach Blake Huber has announced an additional signing to the 2025 recruiting class, with Caela Tighe joining the program from Iowa Western. Tighe joins Chole Dallas, Aaliyah Smith, Mekhila Brown, and Hannah Jensen heading to Portales for the 2025-26 season.

CAELA TIGHE, JUNIOR, GUARD, 6'1", IOWA WESTERN

A native of Big Lake, Minn., Tighe played two seasons with the Reivers. The red shirt-sophomore averaged 12.8 ppg and 9.2 rpg over the past season, adding close to three assists per game and two steals per game. Tighe reached double figures for scoring 19 times, racking up 12 double doubles. Tighe's standout performance during this past season came against Iowa Lakes Community College, playing all 40 minutes scoring 24 points (9-16 FG) and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 70-65 victory (12/11). The guard pulled down a season high 18 rebounds (13 defensive, 5 offensive), while adding 11 points against North Iowa Area Community College in the final game of the season for Iowa Western (3/1).

"We are super excited to bring Caela here to Portales, she has a DI skill set for her size," said Huber. "She is a three-level scorer and made 47 3's this past season at 6'1", so she is incredibly versatile. We believe her best basketball is ahead of her and we can't wait to start working with her," said Huber.

ENMU cemented the 2024-25 season with the programs first ever win in the NCAA Tournament, finishing with a 21-11 record, and a 15-7 conference record.
