PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico women's soccer concluded their home opener this Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to UT Permian Basin at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
The teams finished the first half 0-0 with the Falcons taking a total of six shots, while the Greyhounds took five. Both teams played a fairly even first half with one save from each team.
The Falcons scored three goals in the second half of play by Molly King, Cassandra Ramirez, and Mikaela Corral. Rosie Willmott Joyce came into the game for Aja Gonzales and made two saves.
Louise Godden led the Greyhounds in shots, with three total and one shot on goal. Sloane Sinnott (shot on goal), Brooklyn Guajardo, Laci Lozoya (shot on goal), Alissa C'DeBaca, Sofia Moore, and Simone Brothers all managed shots.
The Greyhounds will face UT Dallas this Wednesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
