WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Eastern New Mexico women's basketball team continued its impressive mid-season surge, extending its win streak to six games with a commanding 66-54 victory over Midwestern State on Thursday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Greyhounds (12-4, 8-0 LSC) have now won 11 of their last 12 games. Senior guard

Eastern New Mexico trailed 15-13 after the opening quarter but responded with a decisive 17-10 second-quarter run to take a 36-31 halftime advantage. The Greyhounds maintained control throughout the second half, never allowing the Mustangs to regain momentum in what became a statement road victory.
"We will take the road win tonight," stated head coach
Blake Huber. "We definitely need to get back to practice tomorrow and figure some things out because we have one of the toughest four-game stretches in the country that begins Saturday in Lubbock."
Three Hounds reached double figures in scoring, led by senior forward
Chloe Dallas, who provided a spark off the bench with 17 points on efficient 8-of-14 shooting. Dallas added four rebounds, two steals and one block in 23 minutes of action, continuing her emergence as a key contributor in the team's rotation.
Moseberry's double-double performance showcased her versatility as both a scorer and rebounder from the guard position. Her five steals helped fuel Eastern's transition offense and contributed to the team's defensive dominance throughout the contest.
Junior guard
Aaliyah Smith rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points while dishing out a team-high five assists and grabbing two rebounds. Smith's playmaking ability was crucial in establishing offensive rhythm for the Greyhounds, particularly during its second-half surge.
Eastern's defensive intensity proved to be the difference-maker, holding Midwestern State to just 21.4 percent shooting from the field – the lowest shooting percentage by the Mustangs this season. MSU managed only 15-of-70 field goal attempts, struggling to find consistent offensive flow against Eastern's aggressive defensive schemes.
The Greyhounds shot 38.5 percent from the field (25-of-65) and connected on 26.9 percent of their three-point attempts (7-of-26).
Eastern's bench production continued to be a defining characteristic of the team's success, outscoring the Mustangs' reserves 33-5. The depth advantage has been a consistent theme throughout the win streak, allowing the Greyhounds to maintain energy and intensity throughout games while providing valuable rest for key contributors.
The Greyhounds dominated the paint battle, outscoring Midwestern State 32-8 in the interior.
The victory extends Eastern New Mexico's impressive conference record to a perfect 8-0, maintaining pace in what has become a highly competitive conference race.
Midwestern State (4-9, 1-6 LSC) struggled offensively throughout the contest, managing just 54 points on poor shooting efficiency.
The Greyhounds now face a challenging stretch of games that will test their championship aspirations. Eastern travels to Lubbock on Saturday for a crucial matchup against No. 11-ranked Lubbock Christian at 1 p.m. CT, beginning what coach Huber described as "one of the toughest four-game stretches in the country."
