Dallas powers Greyhounds past Cameron, 76-47

Chloe Dallas posted her fifth double-double of the season with 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Hounds

LAWTON, Okla. - Senior forward Chloe Dallas delivered a dominant performance with 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead Eastern New Mexico to a 76-47 victory over Cameron on Saturday afternoon at Aggie Gymnasium. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Greyhounds and improved its record to 13-9 overall and 9-5 in Lone Star Conference play.

Dallas was nearly unstoppable, shooting 11-of-15 from the field while recording her fifth double-double of the season. The senior also contributed defensively with three steals and two blocks in 24 minutes of action.

The Greyhounds received a significant boost from their bench, led by Aaliyah Smith's 15 points. Smith shot 6-of-11 from the field, including 1-of-4 from three-point range, and added three assists and a steal in 16 minutes. Toyah Montgomery provided a spark off the bench as well, scoring nine points on 2-of-7 shooting while knocking down one three-pointer. Montgomery also grabbed eight rebounds in 18 minutes.

Mekhila Brown added eight points and three rebounds in the starting lineup, while Julieta Ceja contributed five points and a team-high eight rebounds. Hannah Jensen rounded out the starting five with two points.

Eastern New Mexico dominated the paint, outscoring Cameron 52-26 in that area. The Greyhounds' bench also made a significant impact, outscoring the Aggies' reserves 36-9. ENMU shot 45.6 percent (31-of-68) from the field and held Cameron to just 28.6 percent (18-of-63) shooting.

The Greyhounds controlled the game from start to finish, building a 24-10 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 42-24 by halftime. Eastern continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring Cameron 34-23 over the final two quarters.

Cameron (2-20, 2-12 LSC) was led by Madison Griggs' 19 points. The Aggies struggled offensively throughout the contest, shooting just 5-of-29 from three-point range.

Eastern New Mexico will face another test on Tuesday when the Greyhounds travel to Canyon, Texas, to take on nationally ranked West Texas A&M. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
