PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico football's spring game is set for Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. inside Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
"It's a new era for Greyhound football," said director of athletics
Kevin Fite when asked about the program. "Going to practice and seeing the team compete has been impressive. My observation is that our team members have enjoyed these spring workouts and are excited to show the ENMU community a glimpse of what we will see during the 2026 season. I am inviting the whole ENMU community to come support the football team, congratulate them on their development, and see the same things the coaching staff has seen in the spring workouts. Tailgating begins at 8 a.m. on the 11th, let's start by showing the team our own excitement by coming out early to tailgate and the spring game will follow at 2 p.m."
As mentioned, the festivities begin early. The tailgating lot will open at 8 a.m. The athletics department will be putting on a tailgating competition, and fans can win prizes based on the tailgating that encompasses the best overall atmosphere. Fans are also encouraged to sign-up for a cornhole tournament. Please register
HERE. It will run from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. and prizes will be offered to the winning two-person teams.
Head coach
Art Briles and the Greyhounds will take the field at 2 p.m. Fans will witness drills and workouts from the team. These workouts cover approximately 90 minutes. Afterwards, all fans will be invited to an autograph and photo session with the Hounds on the field. Attendees will get the chance to meet the team and coaches.
