Karissa Stinson made a season-high six saves, but the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team (3-7-1; LSC 0-4) dropped a 2-0 decision on Friday afternoon, in Lone Star Conference action at ENMU Soccer Field.
After the teams played to a stalemate in the first half, Vicky Back tallied her ninth goal of the season to get the Lions on the board. The goal came less than five minutes into the second half off of a corner kick. Jade Bell added an insurance goal with 23:20 left in the game.
Samantha Silvestre had a Greyhound-high three shots, with one on goal.
Tori Hendrickson and
Jenna Sievers also had shots on goal. Courtnie Northern made three saves in the winning effort for Texas A&M-Commerce.
The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will continue its home stand on Sunday, against Texas Woman's University. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. MT.
